The Old School House is in a wonderful hill-top setting on the edge of lovely Pujols, where south facing rooms and the extensive garden command a breathtaking panorama over vineyards and fields, to Saint Emilion in the distance. Surrounded by idyllic villages and historic towns the area is rich in wine chateau and there are many local activities available, such as caves, canoeing, ballooning and golf.
This converted old school house is spacious, charming and busting with character yet has plenty of modern amenities. Accessed via double electric gates, it is set beside an ancient Abbey and overlooking a panorama of vineyards and rolling countryside, this is indeed a superb location.
Most of the living area is on the ground floor and features a beautifully proportioned central lounge with high ceilings and 2 large, double windows looking out to the front garden. The house can sleep 8-10 people in 3+ bedrooms (2 en-suite with an addtional bathroom/toilet and a separate toilet). The house is equally suitable for a couple.
The kitchen/dining area is light and airy with plenty of modern equipment and a large dining table. A huge and rambling garden stretches down the hillside and the Dordogne river idles past just a few miles away.
Despite the quiet setting of this beautiful house, places such as St Emilion and St Foy-La-Grande are close-by, and Bordeaux airport is only 55 minutes drive, Bergerac airport just 35 minutes drive.
